Dr Binayak Sen has been granted Bail by Supreme Court
P R E S S R E L E A S E : 25 May 2009- Dr Binayak Sen, the well known health and Human Rights activists, National Vice President of PUCL was imprisoned by Chhattisgarh Government for last 2 years on false charges for abetting activities of an outlawed organization. This invited large scale protest by Human Rights Defenders all over the world.
Today Division Bench of Supreme Court comprising of Justice Katju and Justice Verma has granted the release of Dr Sen on bail on his personal Bond.
